It was hot that day in late October 2004.
Noted course designer/instructor
Pete Blakeley had been traipsing, bush hogging, and chain sawing his
way along our wooded creek and along one of our lengthy duck ponds for
hours. Just before the sun began to set he paused and said in that
great English accent,
“Randy you know you have twelve
stations here, and in all my twenty-eight years of setting up courses, I
have never seen a course with no sun direction problems morning or
afternoon, all year round like yours – this is unbelievable.”
With that comment, my wife Patsy and I began our
long awaited venture into the exciting world of Sporting Clays. |
Garwood Sporting Clays, Inc. (“GSC”)
is proud to announce the opening of our Live Oak course, January 2005.
Our facilities are
located six miles southwest of Garwood, Texas which is west of Houston.
