Station Challenge
RULES
The new format is called -STATION CHALLENGEă
-
Every shooter has a chance to win $Money. Payouts will be determined by
number of entrants.
Format is as follows:
4 Stations - High
Score:
4
stations will be chosen, the shooter with the highest score will win that
station. If there is a tie, the next station will be used as the
tie-breaker using the highest score. All ties will go for a total of 3
consecutive stations to determine a winner. If there are ties beyond
3 stations – then a shoot-off will determine the winner.
Ex: If station 8 is selected as a high score station and 20 shooters are
tied with the score of 8. The scoring will proceed to station 9, if there
are 12 shooters still tied, then we move to station 10. If 8 shooters are
tied again then we move to station 11, and if there are 4 shooters still
tied after station 11 -they will shoot-off to determine the winner.
4 Stations - Low
Score:
The concept above applies to this format as well as
to determine a winner, but instead of going forward you go backward
regarding the stations, applying the low score. There are some rules that
apply to the low score stations. Any score of a zero on a low scoring
station (including tie-breaks) excludes you from winning a station. You
must break a certain number of targets on any low-score station as
follows:
·
5 pair =
10 targets you must break 4 targets.
·
4 pair
=8 targets you must break 3 targets.
·
3 pair
=6 targets you must break 2 targets.
Shooter’s known ability will apply!!
4 Stations – Average
“With a Twist”: (1 average and 3 with a twist)
This concept uses the average score for the specified station – this
number is multiplied by 10 then a certain number is added to the score.
This number will determine the winner based on the overall shooter’s
score.
EX: Station 5 – total of 4 pair (8 targets), there
are 90 shooters. The sum of the station’s scores is 601. Thus 601/90 =
6.67 – this multiplied by 10 = 66.7 - thus a shooter who shot an overall
67 would be the winner. (note scores will be rounded - .5+ goes to the
next number)
Now the “with a twist” – a number, let’s say 10, will be added to
the score – thus 67+10 = 77 – so the shooter who shot 77 would be the
winner. No one will know the additive number, so that adds a twist
to the concept. Ties in this category will be determined by shoot-offs.
All scores and tabulations will be done when all the score cards are
turned in from the last squad. If you are a solo station winner you
don’t have to be present to win; however, if a shoot-off is needed to
determine the winner – you must be present in the shoot-off to win.
